India, Aug. 18 -- The Valliappa Foundation has announced three Doctoral Research Fellowships to support promising young researchers and honour the enduring contributions of Padma Bhushan Prof Rajinder Kumar, who devoted his career to research at the IISc and rose to be the Dean of Engineering, to chemical engineering, research and institution-building.

The fellowship is open to full-time PhD scholars already registered and pursuing research at institutions ranked among the Top 100 in the NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework).
