India, July 7 -- A 35-year-old man from Telangana's Nizamabad district, working in a Gulf country, was allegedly murdered by his wife during medical treatment, police said on Monday.

The victim's mother lodged a complaint on July 1, stating that she was informed of her son Prasanth's death on June 30.

She claimed she was unaware he had even visited home and expressed doubts over the circumstances surrounding his death.

Initial investigation flags suspicious circumstances

Police said early findings, supported by technical evidence, raised suspicion against the victim's wife Sandhya (32).

According to officials, the duo allegedly conspired to eliminate Prasanth, whom they saw as an obstacle to their relationship.
