India, March 6 -- The Israel Defense Forces on Friday shared a video which showed its fighter jets were striking the heart of Tehran, destroying an underground bunker built beneath the leadership compound of slain Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei.

Sharing the video on X, IDF wrote: " WATCH: ~50 Israeli Air Force fighter jets dismantled Ali Khamenei's underground military bunker beneath the Iranian regime's leadership compound in Tehran."

China's Xinhua news agency, quoting the forces' statement, said the compound continued to be used by senior Iranian officials, adding that the compound spanned multiple streets in central Tehran and included several entrances and meeting rooms for senior members of the Iranian government.
