Nashik/IBNS, April 22 -- A Nashik court has rejected the interim anticipatory bail plea of Danish Ejaz Shaikh, an employee of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), who is accused of outraging religious beliefs, according to media reports.

Additional Sessions Judge VV Kathare rejected the plea, observing that the First Information Report (FIR) points to a deliberate attempt to outrage religious sentiments.

The court also noted that granting bail at this stage could hamper the ongoing investigation, which is still in its preliminary phase.
