India, March 29 -- The flight journey from Bengaluru to Varanasi turned into a scary ride for passengers after one of their co-travellers tried to open the emergency door mid-air, media reports said.
The passenger later claimed he was 'possessed by a ghost', forcing him to act abruptly during the flight.
The incident occurred in IndiGo's flight 6E-185, which took off from Bengaluru at around 8:15 PM on Saturday.
The passenger was identified as Mohammad Adnan, a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
The cabin crew members initially detected his act and cautioned him not to repeat it.
Adnan behaved normally for the rest of the journey. When the plane was about to land at the airport, he attempted to open the emergency gate once again.
