SBI posts record Rs.21,121 crore quarterly profit, loan growth tops 18 percent
India, Aug. 7 -- Public sector lender State Bank of India (SBI) on Friday reported its highest-ever quarterly net profit of Rs.21,121 crore, driven by robust loan growth across key business segments.
The bank's whole bank advances grew 18.63% year-on-year (YoY), while domestic advances rose 18.15% YoY.
The Retail, Agriculture and SME (RAM) portfolio remained the key growth driver, with RAM advances increasing 18.20% YoY. SBI said all major business segments-including Retail, Agriculture, SME and Corporate-continued to register strong double-digit growth during the quarter.
