India, Oct. 8 -- The Indian Embassy in Riyadh on Thursday issued an advisory to Indian nationals in Saudi Arabia, urging them to remain alert, stay indoors when necessary and strictly follow instructions issued by local authorities amid escalating security concerns in the kingdom.

The advisory came after Iran-backed Houthi rebels claimed a series of attacks targeting Saudi airports and other strategic facilities.

The embassy asked Indian nationals to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary movement in view of the prevailing situation.
