India, July 6 -- Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has announced the development of its next-generation Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 5.0 solution, designed to deliver significantly faster performance for future smartphones, wearables and extended reality (XR) devices running on-device artificial intelligence (AI).

The company said the new storage technology is expected to enable seamless and highly efficient AI experiences by reducing latency and improving response times when running large language models (LLMs) directly on mobile devices.
