Restaurants under pressure as LPG cylinder prices hiked by Rs 42 in Delhi amid ongoing Middle East war
India, June 1 -- The prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders were hiked by Rs. 42 in Delhi on Monday, adding pressure on small restaurants, hotels, caterers, and eateries that rely on them for daily operations, according to media reports.
Following the revision, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi will now cost Rs.3,113.50.
In Kolkata, the same cylinder will now be priced at Rs.3,255.50 after an increase of Rs.53.50.
This marks the second increase in commercial LPG prices since May 1, when rates were hiked by Rs.9.93.
The hikes have been announced amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East involving the US and Iran.
