Mumbai/IBNS, July 31 -- Shares of RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. fell around 3 percent on Friday after the state-run telecom and digital infrastructure company reported a marginal decline in net profit for the first quarter of FY2027, media reports said.

Net profit (PAT) stood at Rs. 65.78 crore, down 0.48 percent from Rs. 66.10 crore a year earlier.

The company's total income rose to Rs. 910 crore, reflecting healthy business growth during the quarter.

RailTel's strong revenue performance was driven by healthy execution across its telecom services, digital infrastructure and project businesses.
