India, Aug. 24 -- A poster describing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as the "real-life Batman" was recently put up near the Congress' Indira Bhawan headquarters and in parts of central Delhi by a party functionary, drawing strong reactions from social media users.

The poster featured Rahul Gandhi alongside Batman, the iconic superhero character who has attracted a massive global following for generations.

The posters carried several captions, including "The Silent Guardian" and "A Watchful Protector."
