India, March 15 -- At least seven Indian pilgrims died after the vehicle in which they were travelling veered off the road and plunged into a gorge in Gorkha district of Nepal, media reports said.
According to Bharat Bahadur BK, the victims have been identified as Muthu Kumar (58), Anamalik (58), Meenakshi (59), Sivagami (53), Vijayal (57), Meena (58) and Tamilarsi (60), all from India, reported The Himalayan Times.
All of them died on the spot.
Local police told the newspaper that the vehicle was carrying 16 people.
Seven passengers are currently undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College.
