India, March 23 -- Pakistan has reportedly decided to increase the levy on high-octane fuel by Pakistani Rupees (PKR) 200 per litre, raising it from PKR 100 to PKR 300, amid the ongoing Middle East crisis, according to media reports.
Citing a handout from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the development came after the premier virtually chaired a meeting on matters related to high-octane fuel used in "luxury vehicles," reported Dawn News.
It added, "A levy of Rs 300 per litre will now be applicable on high-octane fuel used in the most expensive vehicles."
