Pakistan: Suicide bomber strikes Pakistan police station amid public rally, 14 killed
India, Aug. 2 -- At least 14 people were killed and 20 others injured in a suicide bombing at the Kabal police station in Pakistan's Swat district on Sunday, according to media reports.
Swat police spokesperson Nasir Iqbal Karimi confirmed to Dawn that 14 people had died in the attack.
Swat District Police Officer (DPO) Umar Khan told the newspaper that the attacker detonated the explosive device after being stopped and searched by police at the entrance to the station.
"Security forces have cordoned off the area, and an investigation is underway to collect further evidence," he said.
Those injured were rushed to Saidu Sharif Teaching Hospital for treatment.
