India, April 7 -- A man was killed and more than a dozen others were injured after a speeding mini-truck rammed into a procession taken out by the local Christian community to observe Easter in Pakistan's Gujrat region, according to media reports.
The incident occurred in front of a church on the Alipur Chatha-Gujranwala road within the jurisdiction of Ahmed Nagar police station in Wazirabad district, Dawn News reported.
A large number of people from the local Christian community had gathered for the procession when the speeding mini-truck-reportedly carrying chickens-ploughed into the crowd.
Preliminary reports suggest that the driver lost control of the vehicle before crashing into the procession.
