Hyderabad/IBNS, March 23 -- Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday announced that his party, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), will contest the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections in alliance with former Trinamool Congress leader Humayun Kabir's outfit, Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AJUP).

Announcing the decision, Owaisi said, "We will contest the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections. We would want to strengthen AIMIM candidates and ensure our candidates succeed in every corner of the country and raise the voice of the poor and oppressed in the Assembly."
