No legal action against CJP protesters without criminal record: Delhi Government
India, July 30 -- The Delhi government on Thursday announced that no further legal action will be taken against those arrested in connection with the recent protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) over the NEET question paper leak.
The decision follows the Centre's assurance to the protesters and comes days after the Supreme Court directed states not to take coercive action against demonstrators who have no prior criminal record.
However, the Delhi government's decision will not cover those with "criminal antecedents", in accordance with the Supreme Court's July 28 order.
