Patna/IBNS, March 30 -- Nitish Kumar has resigned as the Bihar Chief Minister after being elected to the Rajya Sabha earlier this month, media reports said.
The Constitution does not allow an individual to be a member of both Parliament and a state legislature simultaneously.
In what was seen as a sudden move, the veteran leader had earlier announced his decision to step down and transition to a role in the Rajya Sabha, months after speculation over his political future intensified.
