India, Aug. 26 -- At least seven people have died and 384 travellers, including 105 Indians, are missing following a flash flood in the Bhote Koshi River in Nepal's Rasuwa district on Wednesday.

The flash flood caused widespread damage to bridges, houses and roads and swept away villages, in what is emerging as one of the major natural disasters to hit the Himalayan nation this year.

Of the 291 foreign nationals reported missing, 105 are Indians, while the others include nationals of Australia, the Netherlands, the United States, Malaysia, the United Kingdom and South Africa, Nepal News reported, citing data from the country's Tourism Board.

The nationalities of several missing foreign tourists have not yet been ascertained.
