New Delhi/IBNS, July 23 -- The Centre on Thursday renewed its appeal to members of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) to join talks at a "convenient" time, saying it has sent four formal proposals to the protesters since Wednesday afternoon in an effort to break the deadlock over the ongoing NEET agitation.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh invited representatives of the protesters for a meeting at the office or residence of Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, assuring them that the government was ready for discussions on all issues.

The CJP, however, rejected the government's proposed venue, reiterating that any dialogue must take place either at the protest site at Jantar Mantar or at a mutually agreed neutral location.
