India, April 28 -- A 31-year-old Mumbai man has been arrested in the Naya Nagar area after he allegedly stabbed two security guards after asking about their religious identities.
According to police sources cited by NDTV, the accused, Zaib Zuber Ansari, allegedly demanded that the guards recite the 'kalma' (Islamic verses) before attacking them.
The two injured security guards were identified as Rajkumar Mishra and Subroto Sen.
The incident reportedly took place on Monday at an under-construction building located behind Wockhardt Hospital, where both guards were on duty.
Police scanned CCTV footage from the area and tracked down Ansari within 90 minutes, leading to his arrest.
