India, June 7 -- A 28-year-old law student died after collapsing during a techno music concert in Mumbai on Saturday, with police suspecting that excessive alcohol consumption may have played a role in the incident.

The deceased has been identified as Vrushabh Gangurde. He reportedly collapsed at the venue and was rushed to Breach Candy Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

Authorities said the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem examination is completed.

The Mumbai Crime Branch has also reportedly initiated a parallel inquiry into the case.
