India, Sept. 11 -- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in New Delhi on Friday for the BRICS Summit, holding bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the second time in less than two weeks as the Middle East crisis casts a shadow over regional stability, energy supplies and global trade.

During the meeting, Modi raised concerns over the volatile regional situation and stressed that the safety and security of seafarers remains India's top priority, sources said.

India also underlined the need for safe passage for vessels carrying essential supplies, with energy security emerging as a key concern amid disruptions in the region.
