India, May 16 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday described the Indian community in the Netherlands as a "living bridge of friendship" between the two countries, as he addressed members of the diaspora in The Hague.

During his address, Modi highlighted the growing strategic partnership between India and the Netherlands, underlining cooperation in trade, technology, innovation, education and cultural exchange.

The Prime Minister was welcomed by members of the Indian diaspora and friends of India at a community reception in The Hague.

Addressing the gathering, Modi praised the contribution of the Indian-origin community to Dutch society and said their achievements had helped strengthen bilateral ties.
