India, Aug. 17 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Vadodara MP Hemang Joshi as the new national president of its youth wing, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, replacing Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya.

The organisational change comes at a time when youth-led movements and Generation Z voices have gained greater political attention across India, with parties seeking to strengthen their engagement with younger voters.

Tejasvi Surya announced his successor's appointment in a post on social media platform X.
