Mamata's TMC splits wide open as 58 MLAs back expelled Ritabrata as Bengal LoP
Kolkata/IBNS, June 3 -- The disintegration of former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress appeared to gather pace on Wednesday as a rebel faction, backed by nearly 60 MLAs, threw its weight behind expelled party leader Ritabrata Banerjee for the post of Leader of Opposition in the Assembly.

Rebels Challenge Party Leadership
Ritabrata Banerjee and Entally MLA Sandipan Saha have emerged as the faces of the rebellion against TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee.
The revolt is reportedly backed by more than 50 MLAs from different parts of the state.
