Kolkata/IBNS, May 11 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Monday announced that all social welfare schemes launched by the previous government led by Mamata Banerjee would continue under the new Bharatiya Janata Party government.
The announcement came after Adhikari chaired the first cabinet meeting of the new BJP government at the state secretariat Nabanna.
When asked whether the Mamata Banerjee government's health scheme Swastha Sathi would continue, Adhikari clarified that no existing welfare initiative would be discontinued.
