India, May 9 -- Suvendu Adhikari, who led the Bharatiya Janata Party to register a landslide victory in West Bengal Assembly polls, took oath as the first CM of the saffron brigade in the state on Saturday.
State Governor RN Ravi administered Adhikari's oath at the iconic Brigade Parade Ground in the city, a historic moment that marked a power shift in the state that was ruled by former CM Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress for 15 years.
