Kolkata/IBNS, June 10 -- A major fire broke out at the South 24 Parganas Zilla Parishad building in Kolkata's Alipore area on Wednesday, triggering a large-scale firefighting operation.

The building is located adjacent to the Alipore Court complex, raising concerns in the busy administrative and judicial hub of the city.
