Kolkata/IBNS, March 25 -- Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have appointed power-hitter Rinku Singh as the vice-captain ahead of the 2026 IPL season.

The decision was announced at the Knights Unplugged 3.0 event in Kolkata on Tuesday evening.

Rinku has been a key performer for KKR, known for his explosive batting and sharp fielding.

The 28-year-old also brings leadership experience from domestic cricket and previous IPL stints.

KKR will begin their campaign this season against Mumbai Indians on March 29.
