India, Oct. 14 -- Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were sent to five days of judicial custody on Wednesday for allegedly entering the Jantar Mantar protest site without authorisation.

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke announced the development in a post on X, writing, "Ashu and Saurav have been sent to 5 days judicial custody."

"Their fault? Unfurling the Tricolour at Jantar Mantar," he said.

Taking aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dipke added, "Show some guts, @narendramodi. If you're so determined to crush dissent, have the courage to officially declare an Emergency instead of hiding behind these cowardly tactics."
