Jamia shifts classes online after clash over demand for student union polls; Congress MPs face allegations
New Delhi/IBNS, Oct. 24 -- Classes at Delhi's Jamia Millia Islamia University have shifted to online mode after protesters demanding student union elections clashed with security guards, media reports said.
The protesters have been demanding the restoration of the Jamia Millia Islamia Students' Union (JMISU), which was disbanded in 2006 following campus violence that disrupted academic activities.
Razvi said a complaint had been filed with the Delhi Police over the incident.
The university has moved classes online amid the unrest on campus.
