India, March 1 -- Iran's Revolutionary Guards have claimed they attacked the American aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in the Gulf, amid confirmation of the killing of Iranian Supreme Commander Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

"The US aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln was struck by four ballistic missiles," the Guards say in a statement carried by local media as quoted by The Times of Israel.

In the statement, the Guards issued a warning, saying "the land and sea will increasingly become the graveyard of the terrorist aggressors."

In a separate post shared on the Iranian Consulate's X page in Hyderabad, the Guards said Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier was hit by four ballistic missiles.
