Iran awaits Trump's response on Hormuz ceasefire plan as US tightens sanctions
India, Sept. 29 -- Iran is awaiting a formal response from the United States on its proposal for a seven-day ceasefire and the phased reopening of the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, even as Washington imposes fresh sanctions on individuals and companies accused of supporting Tehran's military procurement network., CBS News reported.
Iran expects formal US response
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran expects Washington to convey its response through Qatari mediators on Tuesday.
