Internet suspended around Jantar Mantar as NEET leak protest enters Day 34
India, July 23 -- Security was tightened across central Delhi on Thursday as protests over the NEET paper leak continued, with authorities suspending mobile internet services within a 1.5-km radius of Jantar Mantar until midnight.
Jantar Mantar remains the epicentre of the agitation led by the satirical Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which has been spearheading demonstrations demanding accountability over the examination controversy.
Police personnel were deployed in the area and issued warnings to people against assembling.
The heightened security measures also disrupted business activity in the capital.
