New Delhi/IBNS, March 31 -- India's largest airline, IndiGo, has appointed Willie Walsh as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), marking a significant leadership transition as the carrier intensifies its push into international markets.
The company confirmed that the appointment remains subject to regulatory approvals.
Walsh is expected to assume office by early August 2026, following the conclusion of his tenure at the International Air Transport Association (IATA), where he currently serves as Director General.
Walsh will take over from Pieter Elbers, who stepped down from the role on March 10.
