India, April 20 -- An Indian tourist has shared a video on social media alleging that he faced verbal abuse and racist remarks at a restaurant in Thailand following a dispute over a breakfast bill.

In the video, he claims that a woman was called by the restaurant staff to assist with translation. However, he alleges that after learning his nationality, she began verbally abusing him.

The tourist said he was forced to contact the Thailand Tourist Police to resolve the situation.

"We literally had to call the tourist police to sort this out. For all the people who say Thailand is good and all of that, this is the first time I am experiencing racism in Thailand," he said in the video.
