India, Aug. 30 -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday announced that India and Uzbekistan will establish a long-term arrangement for the supply of uranium, a significant development for New Delhi's nuclear energy ambitions.

Modi made the announcement after holding talks with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his two-day visit to Uzbekistan.

"We will also establish a long-term arrangement for the supply of uranium," Modi said.
