India, June 14 -- INS Sharda departed Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Saturday following a successful port call that further strengthened maritime cooperation and friendship between India and Sri Lanka.

The visit featured a range of professional exchanges, training sessions, and sporting engagements with the Sri Lankan Navy, aimed at enhancing interoperability and fostering closer ties between the two maritime forces.

As part of capacity-building initiatives, Sri Lankan Navy personnel participated in training on small arms handling, basic firefighting, first aid, and rescue procedures.

Friendly sporting fixtures, professional interactions, and cross-deck visits further deepened mutual understanding and strengthened bonds between the two navies....
