India, March 11 -- India on Tuesday dispatched food and relief assistance to flood-hit Mozambique, expressing solidarity with the African nation as it grapples with the impact of devastating floods.

In a post on X, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India stands firmly with the people of Mozambique following severe flooding in its central and southern provinces.

"India stands in solidarity with Mozambique in the wake of the devastating floods impacting its central and southern provinces," Jaiswal wrote.
