India, April 12 -- Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle, whose voice defined generations of Indian cinema music, has died at the age of 92 in Mumbai.
Her son Anand Bhosle confirmed the news to the media, saying, "She is no more. Her last rites will be held at 4 PM tomorrow at Shivaji Park in Mumbai."
The veteran singer had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Saturday, April 11.
Her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle had earlier shared on X that she was hospitalised due to "extreme exhaustion and a chest infection."
