India, Aug. 18 -- The fifth edition of SEMICON India will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, 2026, at Yashobhoomi (India International Convention and Expo Centre) in New Delhi, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) said on Tuesday.

Marking another significant milestone in India's semiconductor journey, SEMICON India 2026 will bring together key stakeholders from across the global semiconductor ecosystem, including government and industry leaders, experts, academia, officials and students.

The event is being organised jointly by the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) and SEMI, the global industry association serving the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing sector.
