India, Sept. 23 -- The seventh High-Level Meeting of the OPEC-India Energy Dialogue was held in New Delhi on Tuesday, with discussions focusing on oil market stability, energy security and the need for adequate and timely investment across the oil industry.

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri and OPEC Secretary General Haitham Al Ghais co-chaired the meeting.

The two sides reviewed short-, medium- and long-term energy outlooks and highlighted India's growing importance to global economic expansion and energy demand.

In his remarks, Puri said India and OPEC share a "naturally complementary and mutually beneficial relationship" and thanked Al Ghais for his contribution towards strengthening the partnership.
