India, May 17 -- Tata Electronics and ASML, two leading players in the global semiconductor industry, on Saturday announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen India's semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.

Under the partnership, ASML will support the establishment and successful ramp-up of Tata Electronics' upcoming 300 mm (12-inch) semiconductor fabrication plant in Dholera, Gujarat.

The collaboration marks a significant milestone in the growing strategic partnership between India and The Netherlands in the field of critical technologies, particularly semiconductor manufacturing.
