India, Oct. 8 -- National Security Adviser Ajit Doval held talks with David Morrison, Senior Diplomatic and International Affairs Adviser to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, in New Delhi, with both sides welcoming efforts to advance negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

The two sides also discussed the growing potential for advancing a substantive bilateral defence relationship in keeping with the vision of the leadership, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
