New Delhi/IBNS, March 26 -- The government of India has confirmed that the country has sufficient oil and fuel supplies for nearly two months, urging citizens not to panic over rumours of shortages.
Officials stated that the energy situation remains stable and fully under control despite ongoing tensions in West Asia.
In a PIB release dated March 26, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said crude oil supplies have already been secured for the next 60 days.
Oil Marketing Companies have arranged imports in advance, ensuring uninterrupted availability across the country.
Despite concerns surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, India continues to source crude oil from more than 40 global suppliers.
