India, April 27 -- India and New Zealand on Monday signed a Free Trade Agreement (FTA), a move that Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal described as a defining milestone in the bilateral economic journey of both nations.
The agreement will now require ratification by the Parliament of New Zealand before it comes into effect.
The official documents were signed by Goyal and Todd McClay, New Zealand's Trade Minister, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
