New Delhi, Aug. 30 -- India and Chile have advanced negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), aiming to conclude the talks by the end of 2026, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said Sunday.

The two sides stressed the need for a balanced and mutually beneficial pact that would create commercially meaningful opportunities for businesses in both countries, according to the ministry.

Agrawal highlighted the potential to expand economic cooperation in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, minerals, agriculture, machinery and engineering.

India said the CEPA could provide fresh momentum to bilateral trade and investment while strengthening cooperation in technology, talent and resilient supply chains.
