India, Feb. 27 -- An Indian delegation visited Bhutan from February 24 to 27 to discuss cooperation on transboundary rivers and review progress on key hydropower projects, including the Punatsangchhu-I Hydro Electric Project.
The delegation was led by V. L. Kantha Rao, Secretary, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation (DoWR, RD & GR), under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India. The team included officials from DoWR, RD & GR; representatives from the state governments of Assam and West Bengal; and experts from WAPCOS Limited.
