Hong Kong Tiananmen vigil organisers convicted under security law, face 10 years in jail
India, Aug. 21 -- Two prominent Hong Kong activists known for organising annual vigils commemorating the 1989 Tiananmen Square crackdown have been found guilty of inciting others to subvert state power under the city's controversial national security law, according to media reports.
The activists have been identified as Lee Cheuk-yan, 69, and Chow Hang-tung, 41.
They face a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison following their convictions under the national security law introduced by China. The date for sentencing has not yet been announced.
A third defendant, Albert Ho, 74, was found guilty in January in the same case.
